A lovely nuanced wine, Gewurztraminer is generally under appreciated.   It typically manifests as a spicy, aromatic wine.  We like to make our version relatively dry, which means it is an excellent companion with moderately spicy foods.  We also like to enjoy it on its own.  Our Gewurztraminer, grown on the deep sandy soils of the Applehouse Vineyard, tends to have excellent acidity and brightness.  It is always exciting and crisp, never unctuous and cloying.  The aromas are lychee fruit and honey.
