tasting room staff

Broken Stone Winery is always looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to staff our tasting room -- people who share our enthusiasm for Prince Edward County wines and can create an exceptional tasting room experience for our customers.

Our tasting room associates are the front face of our winery, leading customers through their wine tasting and educating them about the winery and the vineyard.

Experience in a service environment is an asset, as is Smart Serve certification.  If you don't have these and want to build your experience we also have positions available for bussers.

Seasonal, part time positions available, starting May long weekend and running through Thanksgiving.

Interested in learning more?  Send us an email with a brief cover letter and your resume.  If there seems to be a fit, we’d love to talk with you.

cellar hand

Broken Stone Winery is looking for an energetic, responsible, multi-talented individual who would like to be intimately involved in all aspects of the 2024 season's harvest and winemaking.  We have an exciting Harvest planned, with premium grapes coming from 21 acres of intensively farmed vineyards, expanded winemaking, and our annual Harvest Events.

They would be responsible for harvesting grapes, pressing grapes, tank transfers, cleaning the winery and equipment, directing field staff, punching down, fermentation monitoring, cleaning and moving barrels, and staffing Harvest events.

This job can be physically demanding, as it requires the strength to do moderately heavy lifting, agility to safely climb ladders and flexibility.  Some outdoor work may also be required in harvesting the grapes, including crouching and kneeling as well as lifting harvest lugs.  Long hours or late nights may also be required during harvest period.

We would like Cellar Hand assistance throughout October, November, and December.  A full season may be available to skilled individuals who can tackle a broad range of activities like operating and maintaining vineyard equipment, representing the Winery at farmers markets, operating a forklift, and making general repairs.

The right individual could grow with our winery and become a full time member of our winemaking staff.  However, we are also potentially interested in talking to people interested in helping for a single season.
